The Business Empowerment Summit, which brought together over 5000 small and medium scale traders from the automobile, telecommunications, information technology, agriculture, food and beverages, building materials and household wares sectors in an interactive business forum with their product and service providers was set towards resolving those challenges which affected them from developing capacity to realizing their full potentials as well as the prospect for improvement and development for wealth creation, employment generation, economic growth and poverty alleviation.
The first edition of this programme held in 2013 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos attracted over 5000 participants drawn from Mushin, Amuwo/Odofin, Ojo, Ejigbo and Oshodi/Isolo areas of Lagos. The 2nd edition which took place in Ejigbo, Lagos for students and youths attracted over 2000 participants within the Local Council Development Area.
